::Slaps Forehead::

Note to self:

When putting new insulin into the insulin pump, remember to EXIT the prime screen before reconnecting.

Going three hours without insulin = NOT GOOD.

Not really one of my finer moments... though personally, I think the pump should have some kind of alarm for "Uh, are you paying attention to what screen you've been at for the last three hours!?"

But that's just me.

That is not cool! I also wish you could turn up the sound on the alarms. I sometimes do not hear them for hours it seems!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that doesn't hear the alarms- I recently turned on my post meal BG reminder on my minimed which I had used a lot when I first upgraded to the 522. I turned it off for several months hoping to "reset" my brain so I wouldn't tune it out when it goes off. Sadly, my little experiment didn't quite work. Sometimes I hear it right away, sometimes not until it's been going off for a few hours.

Allison,
I thought I was the only one to do that trick. I did it last year in Philadelphia. Actually we complained to the pump company. It only beeps once and it was a long time after hitting the fill tubing screen. Took one heck of a bolus to get that number down to a decent number.
